Kazakh Senate to eye bill on Swiss taxation convention

ASTANA. January 20. KAZINFORM The extended session of the Committee for Finance and Budget of the Kazakh Senate gave consideration to the bill "On ratification of the Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Swiss Federal Council on amendments to the Convention for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and on capital between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Swiss Federal Council signed in Berne on October 21, 1999".
According to Vice Minister of Finance Ardak Tengebayev, the aim of the protocol is to expand cooperation between the Swiss and Kazakh tax agencies to avoid double taxation by sharing information.
The committee made a decision to submit the bill for the consideration of the chamber.
