Kazakh Secretary of State arrived in New York to take pat in UN session

NEW YORK. September 23. KAZINFORM /Aliya Altyngazina/ Kazakh Secretary of State - Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev arrived in New York for participation in the 64 session of the UN General Assembly on Tuesday.

K.Saudabayev is expected to deliver speech at the general political debates and the Conference on assistance to entry into force of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty. The State Secretary will meet with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Russian and Chinese Foreign Ministers, the USA Secretary of State and the U.S. special envoy to Pakistan and Afghanistan as well.

The Kazakh State Secretary will take part in the UN Security Council high-level meeting on the issues of nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation, meeting of the Minister of the Organization of the Islam Conference.

Bilateral meetings of the Secretary of State with Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe Jan Kubis, European Commissioner for External Relations Benita Ferrero-Waldner, Foreign Ministers of the UN member states are scheduled for the period of September 22-27.
