Kazakh scientists working abroad to be paid USD 2 bln for realization of their best projects in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. December 15. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ The Government of Kazakhstan is ready pay USD 2 bln to Kazakh scientists working abroad for the realization of their best projects in Kazakhstan. Vice Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Aidar Zhakupov said it during the on-line conference on the portal 'BNews.kz'.
'We will start the contest among Kazakh scientists working abroad. They will have to submit their projects, they also can do it together with Kazakhstan's universities, scientific research institutes. The winner will get funds allocated for the realization of the projects in Kazakhstan', A. Zhakupov said.
'Presently, the grant is around USD 2 bln. It is a big amount of money, accordingly it will be given for great and significant projects', he added.
A. Zhakupov emphasized that these measures were taken for stimulation of their return to Kazakhstan. 'The program is still developed', A. Zhakupov said.
As was reported earlier according to the data of the Ministry more than 100 Kazakh scientists are working abroad.
