Kazakh schoolchildren win 1 gold and 5 silvers in Western China Mathematical Olympiad

ASTANA. August 23. KAZINFORM - According to Western China Mathematical Olympiad, held from 14 to 20 August in Lanchzhou (China), the team of Kazakhstan has won 1 gold and 5 silver medals. 21 teams from 6 countries of Southeast Asia participated in the competition.
The Kazakh team has got 6 medals: Kamal Daniar, a student of grade 11 in Kazakh-Turkish lyceum in Taraz - a gold medal; Tortay Alisher, a student of grade 11 of the Republican Specialized Physics and Mathematics Boarding School after O. Zhautykov - a silver medal; Imanmalik Erjan, a student of grade 11 of the same boarding school - a silver medal; Altynhanov Kuandik, a student of grade 11 in Kazakh-Turkish lyceum of Astana - a silver medal; Erkenuly Alimzhan, 10th grade student of Kazakh-Turkish lyceum of Astana - a silver medal; and Abdrahmanov Allen, a 10th grade student of the school-lyceum number 165 in Almaty gets a silver medal.
