Kazakh, S Korean leaders to take part in Balkhash electric station groundbreaking ceremony

ASTANA. September 13. KAZINFORM Today Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of South Korea Lee Myung-bak are expected to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony of the Balkhash electric station.
President Nazarbayev made it public after a meeting with Lee Myung-bak in Akorda Presidential Residence on Thursday.
"This is our seventh meeting within the last four years. Our intensive dialogue at the highest level has affected the economic cooperation in various spheres, of course," N. Nazarbayev said.
The Kazakh Leader noted that South Korean investment portfolio in the joint Kazakh-Korean projects exceeded 8 billion US dollars, whereas construction of the Balkhash electric station would amount to 4 billion US dollars.
