Kazakh, Russian Senators A. Bizhanov and V. Babichev met

ASTANA. May 29. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ Chairman of the Committee on Socio-Cultural Development of the Kazakh Parliament?s Upper House Akhan Bizhanov has met with Vice Chairman of the Council of Federation of the Russian Federal Assembly for the CIS Affairs Vladimir Babichev.
A. Bizhanov told about the measures taken by the Kazakhstan Government for mitigating the influence of the global financial crisis and the plans on the country?s accelerated post-crisis development, main provisions of which were outlined in the President?s Address to the Nation ?Through Crisis to Renovation and Prosperity? and his speech at the XII Extraordinary Congress of Nur Otan People?s Democratic Party.
?Despite the crisis the programs on solution of the social problems adopted by us will be implemented. For their realization we approved the annual and a three-year budget?, the Senator stressed.
In turn V. Babichev noted that deepening and expanding cooperation between the two countries especially during the crisis period allows minimizing the influence of the crisis on Kazakhstan?s and Russia?s economies.
The senators focused also on the issues connected with development of near-border cooperation. Alongside, V. Babichev informed that the bill on near-border cooperation with Kazakhstan elaborated several years ago had been approved by the Russian Government and was likely to be adopted in 2009.
