Kazakh pupils to represent drawings at the EU World Drawing Competition

ASTANA. May 19. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ "Kazakh pupils will represent their drawings at the World Drawing Competition of the European Union," it was made public today at the exhibition of the children's drawings opened in the Museum of the 1st President, initiated by the EU Commission within the International Drawing Competition on gender equality.
The contest is aimed to mobilize and raise the awareness of both children and adults around the issue of gender equality.
The ten best drawings of Kazakhstani children will be sent to Brussels. In the capital of Belgium the jury consisting of school children will select the two best drawings from each participating region. A prize equivalent to the value of 1,000 EUR will be offered to the winners. Their drawings will be published in a booklet which will be distributed in the schools of the participating countries.
