Kazakh Prosecutor General met with US Charge' d'Affaires

The parties discussed the dynamics of bilateral relations and confirmed mutual willingness to expand areas of cooperation.

The Kazakh Prosecutor praised the legal framing between the two states and the level of Kazakh-U.S. strategic partnership. According to him, interaction between the Prosecutor General's Office and U.S. law enforcement bodies advances to a higher level. In particular, Daulbayev noted the successful implementation of a memorandum of understanding with the FBI, when the two sides conducted a series of joint events and educational programs. At the end of last year it was signed a memorandum on cooperation in the formation of legal statistics with the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Statistics.

The parties also discussed issues of further cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, countering money laundering, financing of terrorism, issues of legal information exchange.

John Ordway thanked for the meeting and expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would steadily develop and acquire new meaning.
