Kazakh Prosecutor General and the U.S. National Security Council Senior Director discuss bilateral legal cooperation

ASTANA. KAZINFORM -General Prosecutor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbayev has met with Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russia and Eurasia on the National Security Council Celeste Wallander, the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.
The meeting discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral legal cooperation including expansion and strengthening the legal framework and legal assistance in criminal matters. The sides exchanged views on further areas of cooperation in the framework of regional security, fight against terrorism and extremism, transnational organized crime, drug trafficking, arms trafficking and cybercrime. A.Daulbayev noted that bilateral collaboration in the legal field between the two countries is carried out quite fruitful. Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan is actively cooperating with U.S. authorities in combating crime, international legal assistance in criminal matters and extradition.
