Kazakh President visits construction works on the banks of the Ural River

ASTANA. October 24. KAZINFORM - Today President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is on a working visit to West Kazakhstan region, has reviewed the progress of work on the banks of the Ural River in the regional center.
The project envisages improvement of the district for the pastime of citizens and guests of the regional center. The works at the project amount to KZT 425.3 mln. If for this purpose in 2010 were allocated KZT 105.8 million tenge, this year KZT 311.8 million tenge have been funded. Landscaping is under responsibility of contractor called "Bolashak -T". Now there are works connected with asphalt paving, installing sculptures, stairs, a fountain, and a children's playground. The area will also be landscaped and provided with lighting. It is planned to get it commissioned in the near future.
In addition, the President spoke to the veterans living in the area in a relaxed atmosphere.
