Kazakh President to visit Croatia next year

It was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov at a press briefing following bilateral negotiations with his colleague Croatian Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić in Astana on Wednesday. "During the negotiations we mainly focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and we strongly believe that today's talks will lay a solid foundation for Nursultan Nazarbayev's visit to Croatia next year," Erlan Idrissov told the press briefing. The Foreign Minister stressed that Kazakhstan and Croatia have good prospects for deeper cooperation. "The Croatian diplomatic mission has been functioning in Kazakhstan since the first years of independence. We've recently expanded our diplomatic presence in Croatia as well," he added. Minister Idrissov also added that the sides agreed to join efforts in such priority spheres as mechanical engineering, metal industry, tourism, transport and infrastructure.
