Kazakh President thanked MPs for high professionalism

ASTANA. September 1. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Amidst the global economic crisis members of the Kazakh Parliament have shown a high professionalism, President Nursultan Nazarbayev said addressing the joint session of the Kazakhstan Parliament on Thursday.
The President noted that the members of Parliament developed and adopted anti-crisis legislation, which has been successfully implemented.
Kazakhstan is one of the few countries that have managed to overcome the global economic crisis, and thanks to these achievements we celebrate the 20th anniversary of our independence. The country sees dynamic development of its economy. In the first half of the year GDP was 7.1%.
"Members of the Parliament made an important contribution to the great achievements of our country. During the last session they passed 141 laws, ratified 76 international agreements," Nazarbayev emphasized.
