Kazakh President suggests world community creating roadmap to end poverty

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Nursultan Nazarbayev, the President of Kazakhstan, has suggested the international organizations creating a roadmap to eradicate poverty.

"Together with the UN, World Bank and other international organizations, we are ready to create a platform for the comprehensive poverty eradication roadmap," President Nazarbayev said at the plenary session of the II World Anti-Crisis Conference in Astana. The Kazakh President stressed that Kazakhstan had achieved the Millennium Development Goals in terms of eradicating extreme poverty ahead of time in 2004-2005. "We are committed to halve poverty in Kazakhstan by 2015. Gradual eradication of poverty has been and will be my personal goal," the Head of State added.
