Kazakh President stresses importance of involving other funding sources for «EXPO-2017»

ASTANA. October 16. KAZINFORM - Today, under the chairmanship of Nursultan Nazarbayev a meeting has been held on preparation and conduction of "EXPO -2017" international exhibition, http://akorda.kz reports.

Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov, Minister of Environment Nurlan Kapparov and Chairman of the Board of "National Company "Astana EXPO 2017" JSC Talgat Ermegiyaev spoke at the round table.

The President stressed the importance of involving other sources of financing "EXPO-2017" including corporate companies with a worldwide level. In addition Nursultan Nazarbayev noted the need for presentation of new high-tech developments within "Expo-2017".

He also pointed out the creative approach to the implementation of information and image work with achievement of objectives through effective and low-cost online advertising, social resources and mass media.

Minister for the Environment reported that the total area of the exhibition will be 173 hectares and it will include various infrastructure facilities.

The Head of state approved the architectural sketch of the fairground developed by «Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture».
