Kazakh President signs decree on military conscription

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree to discharge compulsory-duty servicemen to the reserve and regular compulsory military conscription campaigns for March-June and September-December 2025, Akorda reports.

Earlier, the country’s defense ministry developed the government’s draft resolution to implement the decree to discharge compulsory-duty servicemen to the reserve and regular compulsory military conscription campaigns for March-June and September-December 2025

Under the decree, 41,706 men aged from 18 to 27, who are not entitled to a deferment from military service, will be conscripted on March-June and September-December 2025, reads the document.

Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan attended the City of Trade Jobs festival held at the EXPO site with the support of the Kazakh Enlightenment Ministry and other relevant agencies.
