Kazakh President's decision on snap presidential election wise and democratic step - OSCE Sec Gen

VIENNA. February 7. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ The decision of the President of Kazakhstan on cancelling the referendum and holding the early presidential election is a wise and democratic step. OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin de Brichambaut has said it in an interview to Kazakhstan mass media in Vienna.
As the European Diplomat noted, the OSCE participating states positively assessed Astana's position "which fully met the general international standards and backed Nursultan Nazarbayev's vision of this issue".
According to the OSCE Secretary General, the Kazakh Leader's decision confirms the importance of the Astana Declaration adopted in December 2010 as well as proves adherence of the Kazakhstan authorities to the OSCE commitments.
