Kazakh President receives letter from French counterpart on occasion of start of Kazakhstan's OSCE chairmanship

The French leader wished success to Kazakhstan in implementation of this historical mission.

"I am confident that Kazakhstan will take this opportunity to confirm again its commitment to the fundamental principles and values of the Organization. You can count upon France and my own support while reaching success of Your chairmanship", the letter reads.

Mr. Sarkozy noted that the idea on holding the OSCE Summit in 2010 received new support. "We should continue joint work on attracting those who still doubt."

"You know what significance I attach to close relations between our states. Our meeting in Astana in October last year allowed to give additional impulse to it. We should maintain this dynamics", the letters reads.

President Sarkozy wished happiness and prosperity to the President and people of Kazakhstan in 2010. He also expressed hope for early meeting with Nursultan Nazarbayev within his visit to Paris.
