Kazakh President receives Astana Akim

The Akim informed the President of the current status of socio-economic development of Astana, particularly in the sphere of housing construction and municipal infrastructure formation. As of January 2009 there were 128 unfinished facilities of shared construction in Astana. 104 out of them will be finished this year, the rest 24 ? in 2010. I. Tasmagambetov told about the progress of preparation for the Capital?s Day celebration. It is planned to finish construction of the locomotive assembly plant ?Locomotive-leasing?, administrative buildings of ?Kazakhstan Temir Zholy? National Company and LUKOIL Company, a 30000-seat covered stadium, a scientific research institute of emergency medical service, a vocational lyceum and etc. The construction of two big traffic intersections will also be completed till the holiday.
