Kazakh President meets with KazZinc staff

UST-KAMENOGORSK. June 19. KAZINFORM. /Lyudmila Malko/ President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has surveyed the progress of construction of the copper and electrolysis plants of KazZinc JSC which are a part of the New Metallurgy project, and reconstruction of sulfuric-acid facility.
At the meeting with the staff of the enterprise N. Nazarbayev positively appraised the implementation of these investment projects. ?Despite the world crisis investors of KazZinc continue modernization of the industry. The total amount of investments has reached USD 700 million. All the efforts are invested into reduction of ecological effect in Ust-Kamenogorsk?, the Head of the State noted.
The new oroductions are planned to be put into operation in summer 2010.
