Kazakh President launches oil storage and transfer terminal in Mangystau

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev has commissioned a terminal that will provide oil storage and transfer services in Mangystau. The terminal of AKSI-Mangistau LLP was put on stream within the framework of the nationwide teleconference at the Palace of Independence in Astana.
"Thanks to this terminal our products will be transported to China, through Baku, North Iran and Russia. The Kuryk Sea Port is currently under construction in the region. Marine vessels are set to be constructed there," President Nazarbayev said during the launching ceremony. It was noted that the terminal will allow to export all types of oil products from three Kazakhstani oil refineries and import oil products by sea. The terminal will transfer oil products to supply Mangystau region as well. The project worth 7,5 billion tenge is expected to create 140 new jobs.
