Kazakh President launched new production at Taraz Wool Scouring Plant

ZHAMBYL REGION. September 27. KAZINFORM /Galina Skripnik/ During his two-day working visit to Zhambyl region Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev launched new production at the Taraz Wool Scouring Plant.

This is an innovative project implemented within the framework of the State Program on Accelerated Industrial Innovative Development of Kazakhstan.

The President surveyed the workshops and talked to the staff.

The plant plans to produce basic component for woolen yarn production. The project was realized for a year. Its cost made more than KZT 1 billion. The project was partly financed by the Agricultural Credit Corporation Taraz. The production capacity is about 800 tons of fined wool per year.

Director of the Plant Bolat Momyshev noted that the project would help provide the domestic textile sector with raw materials and even approach foreign markets. Preliminary agreements on exports of yarn were signed with Italy, Germany, India and Morocco.

The Taraz Wool Souring Plant was founded in 1991. It covers the area of 16 hectares.
