Kazakh President awards teachers of winners of international Olympiads
At today’s solemn meeting with the winners of prestigious international Olympiads, the Head of State awarded their teachers and mentors with high state decorations, Qazinform News Agency cites the Akorda press service.
In particular, Meiramgul Kenzhekhanova and Irina Nesterenko were awarded the Kurmet Order.
Zhanbolat Zholgeldiyev, Karlygash Zholdybayeva, Vladimir Zhuk and Aigul Seitdaulet received the Yeren enbegi ushin Medal.
Batyr Zharkyn, Meruert Abayeva, Olzhas Amzeyev and Bakhyt Mamysheva were awarded the Shapagat Medal.
As written before, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with winners of international Olympiads.
The President said Kazakhstani students took part in 44 international Olympiads and scientific competitions during the year, achieving what he described as an outstanding result.
Tokayev also singled out Kazakhstan’s performance at the International Physics Olympiad, where all five members of the country’s team won gold medals and were named winners of the competition.
