At the meeting V. Scherbakov informed that by the decision of the Presidium of the General Confederation of Trade Unions President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev was nominated for the supreme award of the CIS General Confederation of Trade Unions - the Golden Sign - for personal great contribution to trade unions movement. He presented this award to the Head of State today.
"Mr. Nazarbayev is the only President awarded with the Golden Sign of the General Confederation of Trade Unions. Kazakhstan led by N. Nazarbayev has achieved great results in implementation of one of the most important articles of the Constitution - establishment of a social state. Kazakhstan demonstrated high results in solution of many socially vital problems - increasing wages, pensions and benefits as well as fighting unemployment during the financial crisis. Kazakhstan solves such issues dynamically and consistently, therefore the Presidium of the General Confederation of Trade Unions took such a decision", V. Scherbakov said at a briefing.
