Kazakh President attends Kazakh-Czech business forum in Prague

  PRAGUE-ASTANA. October 24. KAZINFORM Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Czech counterpart Vaclav Klaus attended the opening ceremony of the Kazakh-Czech business forum in Prague on Wednesday, the Presidential press service told Kazinform.

In his speech Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the Czech Republic is an important trade partner of Kazakhstan in Central and Eastern Europe. He stressed that the current business forum is a good opportunity for the parties to establish mutually beneficial cooperation.

"We are interested in the study of the Czech experience in establishing technology and industrial parks, implementation of mutually beneficial investment projects. An effective tool for the development of bilateral economic relations is the establishment of direct contacts between small and medium enterprises. I hope that the progress made during the visit and the signed agreements will give a significant boost to trade and economic relations between our countries. I believe the main result of the visit is the package of agreements worth USD 250 million," said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

The President also invited the Czech businessmen to participate in the VI Astana Economic Forum planned for May 2013 in Astana.

Nursultan Nazarbayev wished the business forum successful work for the benefit of Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic.
