Kazakh PM visits "Khan Ordasy Saraishyk" memorial complex

ATYRAU. June 18. KAZINFORM /Andrey Sokolov/ Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov who is paying visit to Atyrau oblast has visited "Khan Ordasy Saraishyk" memorial complex.

This museum-reserve is located in the Makhambet municipality of the region. It was opened in 1999. The museum's exposition consists of 3,784 pieces. All of them were found in the Saraishyk locality during archaeological excavations.

The memorial complex includes 8 khan pantheons. There are also erected monuments to seven Kazakh khans buried in Saraishyk.

Head of the museum Moldash Berdimuratov told the Premier, that scientists elaborated a plan on rescue of the remnants of the unique historic monument. First of all, we must not allow the ancient settlement to completely go under water. But it needs great funds for shore protection.

The Prime Minister promised that the Government will try to do its best in order to maintain the historic monument.
