Kazakh PM: Process audit to be performed at ArcelorMittal Temirtau JSC
"It is necessary to involve research institutes. Following the results of the audit, corresponding recommendations will be worked out to solve problems," Akhmetov said at the meeting during his working visit to JSC "ArcelorMittal Temirtau" in Karaganda region.
The head of the Government noted leaders of ministries and interested bodies participated in the meeting.
According to First Deputy Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan Albert Rau, the process audit at the plant could be done within two or three months.
"Big accident that took place on June 26 is a significant sign. There is no guarantee it won't happen again, that is why a process audit is necessary," A. Rau stressed.
In addition, A. Rau noted charcoal blast furnace instability and deep accidence at the first process stage are reasons behind decline of production.
