Kazakh PM orders to tackle Qarmet’s most pressing issues in a week

Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov chaired a meeting of a working group to focus on the future of Kazakhstan’s Qarmet company. The meeting brought together new investor of the company as well as heads of government agencies, Kazinform News Agency reports.

Participants of the meeting commended positive changes that had taken place in the company – increase in production output, on-time wage payment - thanks to prompt measures. Recall that 28.6 billion tenge of private investments has been channeled into the company.

Qarmet set a number of key goals for a year to come, including ensuring of personnel safety, growth of production output, concluding new investment contracts and more. On top of that, the company is set to be modernized and reorganized in the near future.

Prime Minister Smailov ordered the government agencies to render necessary assistance to the company in order to tackle the most pressing issues in a week.
