Kazakh PM holds enlarged session in N Kazakhstan

PETROPAVLOVSK. June 3. KAZINFORM /Sergey Kuznetsov/ Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Massimov has paid a working visit to North Kazakhstan oblast. The Head of the Government visited Sultan –MMK JSC, PZTM LLP, Navruz-2009 LLP. He was informed of their activities, social-economic development of the region, development of Petropavlovsk industry, enterprises of agricultural processing, implementation of new innovative projects in the region; Kazinform reports.
In Abizher LTD the Prime Minister was informed of the course of the spring sowing campaign. He surveyed an exhibition of a new high-tech agricultural technique, production of food industry.
At the Abizher LTD an enlarged session on the issues of development of the agroindustrial complex was held with participation of agricultural manufacturers of Akmola, Kostanay and North Kazakhstan oblast. Heads of the ministries and departments, several national companies, akims of the three oblasts took part in the session.
Kazakhstan Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev, Chairman of the Board National Holding KazAgro JSC Assylzhan Mamytbekov, akims of North Kazakhstan, Akmola and Kostanay oblasts Serik Bilyalov, Albert Rau and Sergey Kulagin and others made reports at the session. In their speeches they raised a wide range of issues, which touch upon the agroindustrial complex development.
The participants of the session shared their problems and made proposals to resolve the issues. It was suggested by Kostanay oblast akim Sergey Kulagin to increase the price of grain from USD 180 to USD 220 per metric ton. General Director of Rodina enterprise Ivan Sauer proposed to enhance veterinary control over the great cattle.
The Prime Minister in his turn suggested Kostanay region akim and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to study the opportunities of setting up local high technology field sowing complexes and assured of state funding for this project. He also urged to ensure support of the enterprises which are able to export competitive goods abroad in view of forthcoming creation of the Customs Union.
Summing up the sitting the Premier noted: ?This year owing to the recession hardships it was uneasy to carry out a good sowing campaign. The banking system faced big problems, and as a result major agricultural enterprises did not have sufficient funds. Due to the timely measures initiated by the President, there have been formed reserves in the National Fund, a part of which was budgeted into agricultural activities. There are no significant problems today, and the sowing campaign has been successfully finished?.
