ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov has hinted at a possible drop in the domestic demand for engineering products.
"Global energy, oil and gas prices have been dropping recently. That means that Kazakhstan and other countries that largely rely on natural resources exports will have lesser opportunities," the Premier said at the 2nd Forum of Machinery in Kazakhstan. Mr. Massimov noted that the machinery industry always depends on demand. "I believe we should be ready for a slight drop in demand in our countries. We need to map out our strategies and find reserves within our companies in order to step up productivity and decrease extra costs," he stressed. The 2nd Forum of Machinery in Kazakhstan is underway in Astana.
