Kazakh Parliament to cut down expenses by 15% - MP

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Parliament of Kazakhstan will cut down expenditures by more than 15%, MP Gulzhan Karagussova said at a press conference of the Central Communications Service on Thursday.

"Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev gave the instruction to curb expenses for 700 billion tenge. The Parliament is expected to revise the republican budget next week. We'll see to what extent the expenses will be curtailed," the Kazakhstani lawmaker noted. Gulzhan Karagussova also added that the Parliament will cut down expenditures by 15,2%. "No one can predict how the situation with crude oil prices will evolve next year. If the prices increase entailing certain changes in the global economy, we will revise the republican budget," senator Rashit Akhmetov added.
