Kazakh Parliament of V convocation opens first session

ASTANA. January 20. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ In accordance with the Kazakh President's Decree as of 18 January 2012, the first session of the Kazakhstan Parliament of the fifth convocation will open on Friday, January 20 at 10:00 am in Astana.
President Nursultan Nazarbayev will attend a joint session of the Parliament.
At the recent parliamentary elections three political parties gained enough votes to win seats in the 107-seat Majilis. They are Nur Otan Party - 83 seats, Ak Zhol Party - 8 seats, Communist People's Party of Kazakhstan (CPPK) - 7 seats. Deputies from the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan take 9 seats.
