Kazakh Parliament adopts bill prohibiting civilians from possessing traumatic weapons

ASTANA. KAZINFORM At today's plenary sitting chaired by Speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin the deputies of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament agreed on the amendments submitted by the Senate to the Law of Kazakhstan "On bodies of internal affairs".
As earlier reported, the amendments foresee prohibiting civilians from possessing traumatic weapons. The Ministry of Internal Affairs offers to withdraw traumatic weapons from civilian circulation and brand them as duty weapons. The bill shall be deemed accepted and shall be submitted to the Head of State for signature.
