Kazakh Ombudsman met with UN and OSCE reps in Dushanbe

ASTANA. October 13. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ombudsman Askar Shakirov participated in Dushanbe on October 12-13 in the regional seminar on national human rights institutions in conformity with the Paris Principles and their role in prevention of tortures in Central Asia, the press service of the Kazakh Human Rights Commissioner said.
Those attending shared views on compliance of the national human rights institutions with the generally accepted international standards and encouragement of regional cooperation in provision of human rights.
On the margins of the seminar Kazakh Ombudsman Shakirov met with representatives of the UN and OSCE structures to mull issues concerning cooperation between the Ombudsman's Office with the international human rights organizations.
