Kazakh Ombudsman meets Acting Regional Representative of UN OHCHR in Central Asia

ANA. October 29. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ombudsman Askar Shakirov has met with Acting Regional Representative of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Central Asia Fiona Fraser; the Kazakh Ombudsman's press service reports.
The sides discussed the issues connected with the state activity in the sphere of enhancing human right, creation of conditions for civil society functioning, Kazakhstan's preparation for the national report within the framework of the Universal Periodic Review for submission to the UN Human Rights Council.
There was expressed the opinion on the republic adherence to the course of democracy and significance of activities held by Kazakhstan in the sphere of human rights protection in the context of the upcoming chairmanship in the OSCE.
