Kazakh Ombudsman, Human Rights Watch Executive Director meet in Astana

ASTANA. June 2. KAZINFORM Human Rights Commissioner of Kazakhstan Askar Shakirov has met with Executive Director of international human rights organization Human Rights Watch Kenneth Roth; Kazinform refers to the Ombudsman?s press service.
At the meeting the parties discussed the issues of human rights protection in Kazakhstan. The dialog was held in the context of Kazakhstan?s preparation for the OSCE chairmanship in 2010. A.Shakirov told about the main directions and prospects of the activity of the national human rights institution.
