Kazakh MPs learning Swedish best practices of social, health care and education systems
In Riksdag D.Nazarbayeva met with her Swedish colleague Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Jan Ertsborn. Negotiations held in friendly atmosphere showed mutual interest for the further development of cooperation between legislative bodies of both countries.
The sides defined specific steps aimed at strengthening of inter-parliamentary ties. Meetings with the deputy Chairs of the committee on social insurance and committee on culture Tomas Eneroth and Ulf Nillson, as well as Delegation of Sweden to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly with participation of Vice-President of the OSCE PA Ms. Walburga Habsburg Douglas and influential members of Riksdag Kent Härstedt and Åsa Lindestam took place.
During the visit parliamentarians of Kazakhstan held meetings with State Secretary of Ministry for Health and Social Affairs of Sweden Lena Furmark, Director-General for Trade of the Swedish MFA Eva Walder and representatives of the Ministry of Education and Research of Sweden. Swedish social model, as well as healthcare system and education system caught a particular interest of the Kazakh delegation in the context of considering best practices in our country.
A number of Swedish leading companies in the sphere of healthcare and innovative medical equipment presented their latest achievements to the delegation from Kazakhstan.
Scientists of Karolinska Institute, one of the leading medical universities in Europe and the oldest in Scandinavia Uppsalla University shared their conceptual approach to public healthcare.
