Kazakh Minister of Labor and Social Protection took part in ILO conference

ASTANA. June 22. KAZINFORM Kazakh delegation, headed by Kazakh Minister of Labor and Social Protection Gulshara Abdykalikova took part in the 98 session of the conference of the International Labor Organization (ILO), held in Geneva on June 15-19, Kazinform refers to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

The central event of the conference was the ILO summit, devoted to the global employment crisis. Heads of States, Government and Ministers of Labor of a range of the ILO member countries took part in the summit.

The conference gathered about 4 thousand of representatives of Governments, employers and employees associations from 183 ILO member states.

The Kazakh Minister congratulated the participants on the 90 anniversary of the ILO in her speech. Speaking about the economic crisis, she noted that Kazakhstan has distinct anti-recessionary program, including measures on provision of macroeconomic and financial stability, solution of the real estate market's problems, and support of small and medium business, agriculture. G.Abdykalikova said that today special program of the Kazakh Government on provision of the population employment through creation of additional jobs, personnel training, stimulation of the business activity and creation of conditions for stable post-crisis development developed and implemented in Kazakhstan.

The Kazakh Minister held meetings with Director General of the ILO Juan Somavia and regional Director of the Organization on Europe and Central Asia Petra Ulshoefer. The sides discussed the current state and perspective directions of cooperation.

Upon the results of the forum the participants adopted "Global Jobs Pact", aimed at the employment crisis overcoming.
