Kazakh Minister of Industry meets with Swiss delegation
"Switzerland has always been our long-term investor. For the years of our independence the Swiss investments into Kazakhstan made up USD 3 bln. Over 60 enterprises with participation of the Swiss capital were created. The foreign trade turnover between our countries is not the largest one, but over the first half of the year made up over USD 2 bln, because of it we have great potential for relations development", the Kazakh Minister noted.
A.Issekeshev reminded, that in 2005 the Switzerland-Kazakhstan Association and Intergovernmental Commission, which held five sessions, were created. He expressed gratitude for support, which Switzerland renders on Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO.
"I want to say, that Kazakhstan's economy holds two important events. First of all, we form the Customs Union with Russia and Belarus, which will function from January 1, 2010. Secondly, from the beginning of the next year a new five-year plan of the economic development, which foresees correcting our economic policy to industrial and innovation development, will function, ten priority sectors, which will support the state, are determined. We wanted to attract large technological companies of Switzerland for these priority sectors implementation", A.Issekeshev said.
