Kazakh men's ice hockey team claims gold at 2025 Asian Winter Games
Kazakhstan’s men’s ice hockey team beat Japan, securing a confident win in the 2025 Asian Winter Games final, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Tourism and Sport.

The match ended with a score of 5:0 in favor of Team Kazakhstan. The goalscorers are Andrei Buyalsky, Dmitri Breus, Roman Starchenko, and Kirill Panyukov (two pucks).
Earlier, Kazakh men’s ice hockey team overwhelmed China’s national team (3:1) in the semifinals, and defeated China (6:1), Japan, Taiwan, and South Korea in the preliminary round group A match, and beat Hong Kong in the quarterfinals.
The Ministry of Tourism and Sport has emphasized that this triumph is yet another confirmation of the strength of Kazakh ice hockey and brouhgt the national team back to the top of the Asian Games.
Previously, it was reported that the Kazakh women's curling team was defeated by Japan in a bronze medal event and secured 4th place at the 2025 Asian Winter Games.
