Kazakh Majilis Speaker visits Baku State University

Participants of the meeting mainly talked about prospects of Kazakhstan's development up until 2050, President's state-of-the-nation address "Kazakhstan's way-2050: Common goal, common interests, common future" and also paid utmost attention to comprehensive cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

Mr. Nigmatulin stressed that extension of contacts with Azerbaijan in the spirit of good neighborliness, strategic partnership and friendship was one of the top foreign policy priorities for Kazakhstan.

Referring to the potential of Kazakh-Azerbaijani relations, the Majilis Speaker emphasized it was necessary to build up interaction in the oil and gas, industrial, transport and agricultural sectors.

"Confident and gradual development of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan opens new horizons for fruitful bilateral cooperation and mutually beneficial integration between our countries," he noted.

Kazakhstani parliamentarian also paid a visit to the Center of the Kazakh Language, History and Culture named after Abay that was opened a few years ago at the university.
