Kazakh Majilis Chairman and Chinese Ambassador express hope for further strengthening of parliamentary contacts

On the eve of the visit of Kazakh parliamentarians to China led by the Speaker of the Majilis the sides discussed a wide range of issues of Kazakh-Chinese cooperation. They noted the consistency and the ongoing development of collaboration between Kazakhstan and China.

Nurlan Nigmatulin emphasized that the agreement of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of China Xi Jinping made ​​during the Chinese leader's visit to Kazakhstan reaffirmed the strategic nature of bilateral relations.

Le Yucheng, in turn, expressed his admiration for the achievements of Kazakhstan: "From the first days of my stay in Astana, I have been impressed by the changes, the results of which reached the people of Kazakhstan, under the wise leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, and the rapid pace of Kazakh-Chinese relations' development."

Much attention was paid to inter-parliamentary mutual activities between our two countries.

"Among the areas of development of Kazakh-Chinese inter-parliamentary cooperation there is sharing experience of legislative work, first of all, legislative support of the reforms, strengthening the working relationship between the relevant committees, cooperation in the framework of inter-parliamentary organizations," said the Chairman of the Majilis.

Nurlan Nigmatulin and Le Yucheng expressed hope for further strengthening parliamentary contacts. Chairman of the Majilis and the Ambassador of China were also unanimous in their opinion that the mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries will continue to grow rapidly for the benefit of two nations.
