Kazakh leader suggests introducing a course

ASTANA. October 26. KAZINFORM. /Valentina Yelizarova/ Making a speech at the 15th session of the Kazakhstan People's Assembly President Nursultan Nazarbayev has suggested developing and introducing an elective course "Essentials of tolerance" in general and higher educational institutions.
"First of all it is necessary to develop a civil identity, tolerance in the Kazakh society", N. Nazarbayev noted.
According to the President, the country needs system measures on development and raising legal consciousness among all Kazakhstanis. In this context the Head of the State urged the Ministry of Education and Science to prepare conceptual proposals on development of multicultural education.
