Kazakh journalists met with Bundestag Deputies

ASTANA. June 30. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ A group of Kazakh journalists takes part in thematic trip, organized by the Foreign Ministry of the Federal Republic of Germany for journalists from Central Asian countries.

Journalists from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan take part in the trip, aimed at acquaintance with the work of state bodies and mass media of Germany and the OSCE member states and extension of cooperation of the Organization with Central Asian countries. The trip program provides visits to different establishments in Berlin, Hamburg and participation in the session of the OCSE Permanent Council in Vienna.

Journalists met with Deputies of the Bundestag - Lower House of the German Parliament - Hedi Wegener and Bergit Bender. H.Wegener expressed his opinion on the OSCE cooperation with Central Asian countries. According to her, she sees her main task in assistance to countries of the region in establishment and strengthening of democratic structures through the work in the group of parliamentarians.

Besides, she expressed hope on successful chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE in 2010. "I believe, Kazakhstan will accomplish all its promises within the OSCE", H.Wegener said.
