Kazakh healthcare ministry opens a hospital for war veterans in 2014

Astana. December 27. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan healthcare ministry opens a hospital for war veterans for 90 beds at the interior ministry's hospital in Almaty, according to the ministry's press service.

The veterans will receive occupational therapy there, including hydrotherapy and mud treatment, electrotherapy and light treatment, balneotherapy and remedial gymnastics.

Currently, war veterans are treated at two special hospitals - one in Almaty for 90 beds and the other - in Astana for 80 beds; there are special hospital units for servicing war veterans in 8 regional centers (325 beds); special wards for war veterans exist in many district, municipal, regional and other large hospitals. In the country's seven regions there are special outpatient hospitals for them.
