Kazakh gymnasts to compete at FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Cup 2025
Kazakhstan's trampoline gymnastics team have wrapped up an intensive training camp and are now ready to compete at the FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Cup stage in Baku, Azerbaijan, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“Danil Mussabayev, Roman Barkov, Yerlan Tasmagambetov, Nikita Tumakov, and Viktoriya Butolina all did attend the training camp. The athletes will now compete at the World Cup stage. The Technical Committee of the International Gymnastics Federation has updated the rules regarding routines difficulty. Specifically, they’ve increased the difficulty of backward rotations. Additionally, athletes will earn bonus points for performing multiple triple somersaults.
For example, men will earn bonuses for performing more than five of these elements, while women will get them for more than three elements. Ultimately, the risk of performing a challenging combination is justified,” the Federation’s press office quoted the head coach Sergey Vertyankin as saying.
The head coach also highlighted that Kazakhstani judges will officiate at every stage of this season's World Cup.
"Three trampoline gymnastics judges from our Federation took part in specialized seminars and upgraded their qualifications. As a result, Kazakhstani judges, who are highly skilled professionals, will be officiating at every stage of the World Cup this season. We’ve been making progress. Our athletes have increased the difficulty of their routines. Olympic participant Danil Mussabayev has increased the number of triple somersaults in his program. We’re optimistic about Baku and plan to deliver a strong performance.
We’re easing into the competition process and aiming for the finals. We’re hopeful that Mussabayev, with the routines he’s prepared, will be able to win a medal," the head coach added.
This year, six stages of the World Cup will take place, with the main event of the season being the World Championship in Spain this November.
“During the first World Cup stage, we’ll assess what brings us good scores, test ourselves, and make adjustments. After that, we’ll focus on preparing for the World Championships, which is the main competition of the year,” the coach concluded.
The key addition this season is the introduction of a new event — synchronized jumping in mixed teams, where each team will consist of one man and one woman.
The FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Cup stage in Baku is set to be held on February 22-23.
As reported earlier, Kazakhstanis Danisa Duysengalieva and Alua Bekturova were elected as members of the FIG Council and Technical Committee.
