Kazakh Government to study differentiation of incomes - President
According to Nazarbayev, 8% of households have a monthly income of less than KZT 15 thousand per person.
"The government should study the experience. According to Gini coefficient, we have it while 6%. It is dangerous. when it is close to 10%, it's bad," the President noted.
According Nursultan Nazarbayev, many states specifically are working on this issue.
The Gini coefficient measures the inequality among values of a frequency distribution (for example levels of income). A Gini coefficient of zero expresses perfect equality, where all values are the same (for example, where everyone has an exactly equal income). A Gini coefficient of one (100 on the percentile scale) expresses maximal inequality among values (for example where only one person has all the income).
