Kazakh Government to adopt monotowns development program in May

ZHAMBYL REGION. March 14. KAZINFORM The program on the development of monotowns is planned to be adopted in May 2012, First Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov told a briefing in Karatau town on Wednesday.
"We have visited Karatau town and familiarized with the problems faced by the monotowns. Here are the problems that must be addressed now. In accordance with the President's instruction the Government has been developing a new program of monotowns development. There are 27 monotowns in our country," Akhmetov said.
