Kazakh-German University conferred int'l higher education institution status: Zh.Tuimebayev

ASTANA. June 23. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ - The Majilis of the Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the draft Law 'On ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Germany on further cooperation in development of the Kazakh-German University in Almaty'.
'The Agreement provides conferment of the international higher education institution status to the university. Kazakhstan offers free use of the building of the university. The university will hold courses on new specialties in accordance with German programs. The parties will conduct accreditation of new qualification in the corrsponding state bodies', Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Zhanseit Tuimebayev said.
Besides, he emphasized that German side allocated EUR 3.5 mln for the development of the University.
