Kazakh-German relations are friendly and confidential: President Nazarbayev

ASTANA. February 3. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ "The relationships between Kazakhstan and Germany have been friendly and confidential since our country gained independence", Kazakh President N.Nazarbayev's welcome address to the participants of the opening ceremony of the Year of Germany in Kazakhstan that is taking place in the Palace of Peace and Accord in Astana reads.
The President's address was read by Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov.
"Due to the support of the German side we successfully held the Year of Kazakhstan in Germany in 2009. We are sincerely grateful to our German friends for it. I believe that German investments and advanced technologies, which played an important role in Kazakhstan's development, will open new opportunities for implementation of joint projects in various spheres", the President notes.
N. Nazarbayev expresses confidence that the Years of Kazakhstan in Germany and of Germany in Kazakhstan will benefit in the future.
