Kazakh, Georgian FMs hold talks, highlight huge potential for cooperation in transportation, logistics
As part of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, to Kazakhstan, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu held talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Maka Botchorishvili, the press service of the Kazakh MFA reported.

The meeting agenda included pressing issues of the Kazakh-Georgian cooperation in political, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Special attention was given to the creation of favorable conditions for the two countries' business communities.

The sides confirmed mutual intention to further boost interstate interaction with a focus on implementation of the agreements on expanding cooperation in economic sphere. In this context, the parties highlighted the coordinating role of the Kazakhstan-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The foreign ministers unanimously noted the significant potential for cooperation in transportation, logistics and agriculture.
The sides expressed mutual willingness to intensify cooperation within the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which has seen significant growth in cargo transshipment volumes.
The ministers also discussed the topical issues on the regional and international agenda, noting constructive interaction within international organizations.

Earlier, prime ministers of Kazakhstan and Georgia - Olzhas Bektenov and Irakli Kobakhidze - visited the office of Kazakhstan Railways.
